Hello, today I'm going to write about global warming. What is this? The global warming is the increase of the temperature both of the atmosphere and of the oceans belonging to the planet Earth. Global warming is caused by different causes: the constant emission of carbon dioxide (being this the most important), deforestation, the burning of fossil fuels, the use of fertilizers in the field, etc. The causes mentioned above lead to warmer temperatures, more intense storms, melting of the glaciers, change of ecosystems, disappearance of animal species, rising sea levels, most dangerous hurricanes, spread of diseases, stronger heat waves, more expensive foods, just for mention some of causes. My opinion about this is that we need to create awareness, change our habits to curb their effect, because after all there is only one planet Earth and if we keep destroying it there will not be a near future for us or for the next generations.                ...

Hello everyone, today I will talk about a photo where I appear with my brother (Camilo) and the son of my cousin, his name is Agustin Ignacio Droguett Castro (who is like my other brother), he is 3 years old and was born on August 8, 2015. Is the most smallest in the family so we all love him. I was the first person to know that the girlfriend of my cousin was pregnant with Agustin, they announced it at Christmas and it was a big surprise for everyone. This photo was captured in the summer of 2018 (in my house), I remember that Agustin had chickenpox and was very restless because itched his whole body, my brother and I take care of him all day, so at the end of the day my mom captured this beautiful photo. They are the most important people in my life.                                                  

Today I will introduce you to my family. First I will talk about my mom; her name is Verónica Lorca Varela, she has owned a Banqueteria for 2 years which is called "Banqueteria Auquinco" (where work my cousin, my dad and I). Now I will tell you about my dad; his name is Jorge Herrera Palacios, he works in civil works, at the moment he is working in Chiloé and when he comes home in Auquinco he works with my mom in the Banqueteria. The next is my brother; Jorge Camilo Herrera Lorca is called, he is 14 years old and is currently studying his first year of lyceum, his dream is to be a professional soccer player. And last (but not least) is our dog, his name is Pituco, we do not know how old he is because we picked him up from the street 2 years ago, he is a poodle and he has won our hearts.

In this blog I'm going to tell you about my favorite piece of technology.  I choose an application called "WhatsApp", this is a messaging application, it also allows to make video calls, send photos, voice notes and make call (like a phone). The app works only with internet (it is the only bad things). I use the app to communicate with other people, before I did not use it much, but I started using it more often (everyday) when I came to study in Santiago. I really like it because it allows me to talk with my family and my friends instantly, since they are far away. If this app did not exist, I would probably talk to other people only by SMS or maybe not.   You can download this app for free from App Store for Apple or Play Store for Android. 

When I was a girl I had my teeth very crooked, they even called me "Salad of teeth" so my parents decided to put me braces. That definitely changed my life. For me, it was a very nice experience where I was excited every time I had to go to the dentist. There I understood that I also wanted to do the same, but in sectors where there was not have a good availability of dentists (like my town). That's why this race was always my first choice, although I wanted to study at the University of Talca, but because of things in life I ended up here, at the University of Chile, and I really do not regret being here, or having chosen this career because every day that passes I fall more and more in love with her. Every day I realize that this is what I want to do forever.                          

Hello, my name is Sofia Belen Herrera Lorca. I was born on December 16, 1999 in Santa Cruz, Chile. I live in Auquinco (a small town). I have a younger brother named Camilo, he have 14 years old. I also have a dog named Pituco. My mom name is Veronica and my dad's name is Jorge. My best friend is Alejandra, we have been friends for 13 years, she is like a sister. During my basic education I was in three different schools. I graduated from lyceum named Complejo Educacional Chimbarongo. When I was 8 years, my dad went to work to Costa Rica for 6 months and in that time my brother fell from the second floor of my house, so my mom and I had a very bad time. I'm currently student of Dentistry at the University of Chile, so I live from Monday to Friday in Santiago and on the weekend I travel to Auquinco.
